The Materials Technology Dual Study Program combines a broadly based engineering course at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen - University of Applied Sciences (location Friedberg) with a trainee program in the company (location Schwerte/Unna). In less than 4,5 years, you can obtain a Bachelor of Engineering degree and, at the same time, gain useful experience in operational practice. During the training itself, we aim to prepare you for a responsible position in our company.
You get to know the operational procedures and systems in the fields of sales / marketing, production, logistics and research & development, you are supported by a fixed contact partner in the department and you write a practically based diploma thesis. In your studies at the Technischen Hochschule Mittelhessen, you focus on the field of materials technology and, within the framework of a mentor program, you also receive intensive instruction in the competence areas of database research, technical English with presentation technique, innovation management and project management.

Altogether, the training takes 4½ years. After 1½ years, you take the examination to become a Industrial Business Management Assistant. Your basic studies run in parallel with your vocational training. Successful completion of your training is linked with further employment in the training works. At the same time, you complete your main study course. In the Combined Studies Industrial Engineering course, you are taught application-related engineering and scientific subjects from the field of Business Management and Industrial Engeneering.

We offer a combination of study and training with the Bachelor course in Business Administration at the FOM Hochschule in Bochum. The training comprises a practical commercial element in the training works (training as Industrial Business Management Assistant) and a theoretical, scientific element of study. This takes place at the FOM Hochschule and is designed for all companies and all sectors. It includes, for example, elements of business studies, economics and law.
After 1½ years, you take the examination to become an Industrial Business Management Assistant. After another 2 years of practical training in the company and continuing studies, you take the Bachelor of Arts degree examination.
